The bottom picture is an animated GIF that looks like it was taken somewhere in New York City. I see a lot of tables and chairs which makes me feel like there is a restaurant nearby, although nobody seems to be sitting there. The animation in this GIF is of smoke rising out of a building across the way. It looks to me like it is very cold outside in this picture, and reminds me of walking around the city on a chilly winter day, which makes me feel cold.
I agree. The photo does feel very cold. The still people at the tables in contrast with the movement of the steam make it look like there is a lot of wind. The steam reminds me of the opening to the movie Taxi Driver, except now the steam (and city by extension) is contained and cold, clean and safe compared to the steam (and city) of the 1970s.
I'm curious as to how you were able to make some of the image still but bring other parts to life. The very subtle movement in the third image is amazing and very well done.
the 3rd one, to me, definitely captures a leisurely afternoon in NYC. The smoke indicates that it's a little windy, but it looks quiet and relaxing. I can picture a guy reading a book sitting at one of the tables.
